The protection order was placed on Wednesday, Nov. 21 around 7 p.m. after New Canaan Police responded to a complaint of a domestic altercation between two family members.

During the investigation, Arlind Bajraktari, 18, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and making threats. He was granted a conditional release.

Later in the day, around 9 p.m., Bajraktari was found to be in violation of the terms of his release, which included having no further contact with the victim and not entering the Millport Avenue residence where the incident occurred.

New Canaan Police then arrested the subject and charged him with violating a protective order. Bajraktari was held on $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear in court Friday, Nov. 23.
